||
||
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
1 |
|
O believers! Make sure to fulfill your contractual obligations. It has been made lawful for you (to eat the meat of) the grazing livestock, except for what has been recited to you. While in Ihram, hunting is (strictly) prohibited. Allah Decrees you what He desires.
2 |
|
O you, who believe! Do not break up (untie, undo, dissolve) religious ceremonies of Allah (signs, emblems, Ceremonies of Pilgrimage), nor the sacred month, nor the sacrificial animals nor the (animals with) tokens (Garlands) on the neck, nor those who are going to see the Kaaba (Sacred Mosque) where they seek Grace from their Rabb and His acceptance. And when you (complete) sacrifice, then you can hunt. And let not your hate to the enemy nation that (when they) stopped you from the sacred Home cause you to transgress. Cooperate in truth and honesty, and do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
3 |
|
Prohibited on you is dead, and the blood, and the meat of pigs, and what is offered to other than Allah; also the flesh of animals that are suffocated, and the fatally beaten to death, and killed with the deadly blows, and struggled with other animals, and what is eaten by predatory animals, except what you slaughter and (also prohibited) what is slaughtered on the Idols; and that you divide with the headless arrows (similar to divide based on chance like gamble). These are immoral (practices). Today, hopeless are those who disbelieve in your religion, so do not fear them and fear Me on the day I have perfected your religion and given the full measure of My blessings on you, and I accepted Islam as the religion for you. Whoever is compelled in hunger, with no intention to perform sin, then Allah is All-Forgiving, All-Merciful. [NOTE: It is evident that torturing animals and killing animals by torture is prohibited. Also, consumption of all kinds of animals is not allowed except those read in the Quran].
4 |
|
They ask you what is lawful for them. Say, “Lawful for you are all clean, good things, including what you taught to the predatory animals to rush upon.” You have taught them what Allah has taught you, so eat from what they catch for you and mention the name of Allah on it. And fear Allah for Allah is Fast in the Account.
5 |
|
Today, made lawful to you are the good, clean things. And the food of those who are given the book is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them. And (so) are the chaste women from the believers, and the chaste women from those given the book before you, when you pay them their dowries, chaste, not fornicating, and not making as intimate friends. Whoever disbelieves in the faith has made his deeds useless, and he will be in the Hereafter among the losers.
6 |
|
O you, those who believe! When you stand up for prayer, wash your face and your hands to the elbows, touch (by wetting) your head, and (wash) your feet to the ankles. And if you have been in impurity, then clean yourself. And if you have been sick, traveling, or came from nature's call, or after contact with women, and you could not find water, aim to the head with a highland (surface) clean, then wipe your face and hands with it. Allah does not seek to make it difficult for you, but He desires to clean you and complete His favors on you so that you may be thankful. [Note. Dirty hands leave behind germs. Many can make you sick. Even if you can't see dirt or debris, a surface may still harbor bacteria that could cause illnesses. Cleanliness prevents Illness and allergies. Cleaning offers a sense of satisfaction but may go further by protecting mental health. It helps reduce stress and anxiety while also offering a sense of accomplishment. Blessings and benefits of life bestowed by Allah Subhan WA Taala are increased with cleanliness].
7 |
|
And remember provisions of life from Allah on you and His agreement (contract) that you have entered into an agreement with when you said, “We heard, and we obeyed.” And fear Allah, for Allah is All-Knowing of the essence of the breasts (Allah Knows what is hidden in your thoughts).
8 |
|
O believers! Be steadfast in your devotion to Allah and bear witness to justice. Do not let hatred of others lead you to injustice. Be just; it is closer to piety. Fear Allah, for He is aware of what you do.
9 |
|
Allah has promised those with faith and good deeds to receive forgiveness and immense rewards.
10 |
|
And those who disbelieved and rejected our signs-verses are the companions of Hell.
11 |
|
O believers! Remember the favor Allah bestowed upon you when a nation sought to extend its hands on you (harm you), but He restrained their hands from you. Therefore, fear Allah, and the believers put their trust in Allah.
12 |
|
And already Allah made an agreement (contract) with the children of Israel, and We dispatched from them twelve (The Twelve Tribes of Israel, patriarch of Jacob, also known as Israel) leaders. And Allah told them, “I am with you; if you establish the prayers, and give the charities, and believe in My Messengers and assist them, and give loan to Allah a beautiful loan; I will surely cover your sins, and I will enter you in the gardens with rivers running below them. Then whoever disbelieves after that from you, he is certainly lost from a straight path.”
13 |
|
Because they broke the agreement, we cursed them and hardened their hearts. They used to alter the words from their passages (places in the book), forgetting a share (part) of what they should have remembered. And still, their treachery will be evident to you except for a few of them. So, pardon them and forgive them, for Allah loves the beneficent.
14 |
|
And among those who say, “We are helpers (Christian),” We made an agreement with them, and then they forgot a share (a part) of what they were reminded of. So, we caused enmity and hatred among them until the day of standing; Allah will inform them about what they were making (fabricating what was not true).
15 |
|
O people of the Book! Our Messenger has now come to you, bringing to light a great many (parts) from the Book that you were hiding and eliminating many (parts from the Book). (Now) A light has come to you from Allah, (The Al Quran is) Enlightening, and a clear Book.
16 |
|
With it, Allah Guides those who follow His Acceptance to the paths of peace, and brings them out of darkness into light, by His permission, and guides them to a straight path
17 |
|
Certainly, those nonbelievers say, “ Son of Maryam is Allah, the Masih.” Say, Who has the power to prevent Allah from destroying Masih, son of Maryam, his mother, and everyone on earth? For Allah is the kingdom of the universe, the world, and whatever is between them. He creates whatever He Desires, and Allah Has Control over Everything. [Note. Allah can eliminate everyone and everything. He is only One Allah, and His Command can erase everything].
18 |
|
And the Jews and the Christians say, “We are children of Allah, and His beloved (dearest one).” Say, “ Then, Why does He punish you for your sins?” But you are humankind among what He created. He Forgives those whom He Desires and Punishes those whom He Desires. And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, and to Him is the final destination.
19 |

O, the people of the Book! Our Messenger came to you, making it clear for you, in (continuation of) short intervals of times of the Messengers so that you cannot say; No one came to us to bring good news or warn us. Indeed, now a Bearer of good news (an Evangelist) and Warner has come to you. Allah controls (Has Power over) everything.
20 |

And when Musa said to his nation, “O my nation, remember favors of Allah on you, when He appointed Prophets among you and made you kings, and He gave you what was not given to anyone else in the worlds.”
21 |

They told Moses, "There is a tyrant nation in there. We will never enter there until they leave from there. If they leave from there, we will enter."
23 |
|
Two men who feared, and Allah bestowed on them His favors, said, “Enter on them from the gates, and when you enter, you will be victorious. And put your trust in Allah if you are believers.”
24 |
|
They said, “O Musa, we will never enter there, ever, as long as they are there. So, go ahead, you and your Rabb both fight. We will stay (sitting) over here.”
25 |

(Musa) Said, “O my Rabb! I do not have control except over myself and my brother, so separate us from the sinful nation.
26 |

(Allah) Said, “It is prohibited on them for forty years. They will be lost wandering on the earth. So, do not feel sorrow for the sinful nation.”

O, you, the Messenger! Let not those who hurry to disbelief grieve you. Among those, they say, "We believe," from their mouths, and they do not believe in their hearts; and from those who are Jews, they listen to the lies; they listen to the other nations that did not come to you (other nations who have not received your message). They alter (distort, change) the words from their places, and they say, "If you are given (like) this, take it; but if you're not given (like) it, then beware." Whoever Allah desires to subject to temptation, you do not own (have power) for him in anything from Allah. They are the ones that Allah does not wish to purify their hearts. Those are the deep-rooted evils and more mislead from the straight path.”

You see, many of them hurry in sin and transgression, and they eat the forbidden (ill-gotten property). What they do is wretched (terrible) evil.

And the Jew said, “The hands of Allah are chained.” Chained are their hands, and they are cursed because of what they say. His hands are spread; He spends how He desires. And many of them will increase their transgression and disbelief with what your Rabb has sent you. And We have put between them enmity and hatred till the day of the standing. Anytime they ignite the fire for the war, Allah extinguishes it. And they spread corruption on the earth, and Allah does not like those who commit the crime.

And if they had established (followed) the Torah, and the Injeel, and what was send down (revealed) to them from their Rabb, they would have consumed (received bounties) from (whatever) above them, and (whatever) below from their feet. Among them is a nation of moderate community, and (but) evil is what many of them do.

Say, “O, people of the Book! You hold no basis on anything until you establish the Torah and the Injeel and what is sent down to you from your Rabb.” And what has been sent down to you from your Rabb will increase many of them in rebellion and unbelief, so do not grieve on the nation of the nonbelievers.

They considered that they would not be subjected to temptations, so they became blinded and deaf (they did not see or hear that they were being tested). Then Allah turned to them, then (but again) many of them became blinded and deaf. (But) Allah is All-Seeing with what they do.

Indeed, those who disbelieved said, "Allah is the Messiah, son of Maryam." And (but) Messiah said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, My Rabb, and your Rabb. Whoever makes partners with Allah, then already Allah has forbidden the Paradise on him, and his dwelling will be the Fire. There's no helper for the unjust."

Indeed, those disbelievers said, “Allah is third of three.” But there is no god except One God. And if they did not terminate what they are saying, then We will bring calamity to those who disbelieved among them, for them is a painful punishment.

The Messiah: son of Maryam, is none but only a Messenger (like) other Messengers have already passed before him, and his mother was truthful. They both used to eat the food. Look how We make the signs clear for them; then look at how they separate.

Those who disbelieved among children of Israel were cursed through the tongue of David and (through the tongue of) ESA, son of Maryam. That is because they disobeyed, and they were transgressing.

They (children of Israel) were not forbidding each other of reprehensible actions. What wretchedness; they were doing.

You see many among them are supporting those who disbelieved. Wretchedness is what they have forwarded for themselves. They brought the anger of Allah on them, and they will live forever in the punishment.
81 |

And if they believed in Allah and the prophet and what is sent down to him, they would not have taken them (non-believers) as supporters, but many of them are sinful.

You will find the severity of enmity among humankind towards the believers is from Jews and those who make partners (polytheists). And you will find the closeness of love from those believers who say, “We are Christians.” that is because among them are priests and monastic (and nuns), and they are not arrogant.
83 |

And when they listen to what has been revealed to the Messenger, you will see their eyes filled with tears because they have recognized it as the truth. They say, “Our Rabb, we believe, so register us among the witnesses.”
84 |

“And why should we not believe in Allah, and what came to us is the truth, and we expect that our Rabb will enter us with the righteous nation?”

Allah will not hold you responsible when you make mistakes in your oaths, but He will hold you responsible for what you took as agreement; (belief, conviction) in the faith. For him, atonement is to feed ten poor by the average you provide your family, clothe them, or free an enslaved person. Whoever lacks the means should fast for three days. That is the atonement of your beliefs when you take an oath. So, guard your beliefs. That is how Allah makes His verses clear for you so that maybe you become thankful.

Whoever kills (hunts) among you intentionally, then compensation is to offer similar cattle for slaughter, to be decided by two men of equity among you, and offer to reach the Kaaba. Or as an atonement, feeding people experiencing poverty or fasting for an equivalent number of days to taste the consequences of his decision. Allah has pardoned what has gone in the past, but whoever repeats, then Allah will inflict harm in return, for Allah is All-Powerful, Capable of Retribution.

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu Kamran Shaikh, Thank you for your valuable advice on adding a Quranic Lexicon to increase the understanding of the Quran. This task would require a team of scholars to research the historical context and include the latest scientific proofs to explain the definitions and meanings backed by research references. We have already included a few references, such as the supernova explosion with the plasma jet stream in Surah Tariq. We invite interested audiences with expertise in the scientific community to establish a committee and work together to publish a Qur'anic Lexicon to improve our understanding of the Al-Quran and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who received the Glorious Al-Quran. We are grateful to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala for this blessing and strive to understand His message and seek His forgiveness. We appreciate your encouraging comments. Assalamualaikum! I would like to share a helpful tip with you. If you want to get the Romanized English version of Arabic text, you can use Google's translation feature. Simply copy the ayat and paste it into Google's translation from Arabic. The Romanized English words will appear below the Arabic ayat. This feature will be helpful for you, and you can also use the listen feature. Additionally, websites offering transliterated Romanized English Quran are available. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan!Response:
Assalamualaikum, Thank you for your inquiry. I have used the root for اتقوا as تَقَى; however, وَقَى, has the same meaning when used as a verb. If we use, “those who are afraid of Allah”, we can use وَقَى, as root words. If we use “those who are devout, and pious”, then we can use تَقَى, as the root word. Walakum Assalam, Fahad, Appreciate your comment. The root words are normally listed in separate alphabets, but the reader of the Quran will not easily identify the words of Quranic Ayats. The Dictionary of the Modern Literary Language Compiled and Arranged by MAAN ZULFI MADINA shows the root word most closely listed in written forms. Checking in the dictionary on pp-371, the word used is صِرَاط with the meanings of way and path. The word for ارض is shown as أَرَض. The word wrapping sometimes becomes a problem in the data and should be ارض. There are a few words that will be updated to be the same as shown in the dictionary. We will keep updating the root words as shown in the dictionary. Originally the work was developed in excel with the link function and find function of root words in the Quran. Now we have used SQL to upload the files. May Allah Subhanahu Wa-Ta'ala reward you for your efforts. Jazaka Allahu Khairan: ًجزاك اللهُ خيرا “May Allah reward you with good.”Response:
