سورة القمر - 54 - |

|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ﴿1﴾ |
سَاعته,
|
| The Hour (of Resurrection) is approaching (coming) close and the Moon is split. | ||
| 2 |
وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌۭ مُّسْتَمِرٌّۭ﴿2﴾ |
آ ىي -آية,
|
| If they see a sign, they turn away and say (Oh, that's just some) continuous magic."(When presented with a sign, they quickly dismiss it as a mere illusion). | ||
| 3 |
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍۢ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ﴿3﴾ |
كَذَبَ,
|
| They denied and followed their desires, but every matter has a set outcome. | ||
| 4 |
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ﴿4﴾لا |
نَبَأَ,
|
| And indeed, information came to them to restrain (to restrain and hold themselves back, and not to oppose the Messenger). | ||
| 5 |
حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌۭ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ﴿5﴾لا |
غَنِيَ,
|
| When the decision arrives (judgment announced), there is no use for the warnings. (Here is a sign, but they do not notice). | ||
| 6 |
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ نُّكُرٍ﴿6﴾لا |
شِاءَ,
|
| Then turn away from them (because they are denying) a day (an appointed day) they will be called by the caller towards a thing (they) refused to acknowledge. | ||
| 7 |
خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌۭ مُّنتَشِرٌۭ﴿7﴾لا |
بَصُرَ,
|
| Their eyes will be submissive, and they will come out from graves like locusts sprayed out. Notes: The human lifespan is very short compared to the next life, similar to the cicada (1) lifespan of many cicada species above ground is much shorter than their underground lives. some species might emerge as often as annually or as infrequently as every 17 years, but they expire approximately five to six weeks later. (2) A single swarm can contain between 40 and 80 million locusts per square kilometer. | ||
| 8 |
مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌۭ﴿8﴾ |
قَالَ,
|
| Protruding their necks (paying full attention) to the caller, the ungrateful will be saying this is a hard (difficult) day. | ||
| 9 |
۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌۭ وَٱزْدُجِرَ﴿9﴾ |
قَالَ,
|
| The nation of Noah (also) denied before them. They denied Our worshipper (Noah), and they said, “He is possessed,” and they rebuked. | ||
| 10 |
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌۭ فَٱنتَصِرْ﴿10﴾ |
دَعَا,
|
| So, he (Noah) called (appealed) to his Rabb, "I am defeated (and helpless in this struggle), so help me." | ||
| 11 |
فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍۢ مُّنْهَمِرٍۢ﴿11﴾ز صلے |
سَمَا,
|
| So, We opened the doors of the sky with water pouring down. | ||
| 12 |
وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًۭا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ قَدْ قُدِرَ﴿12﴾ج |
فَجَرَ,
|
| And We split the earth with springs, and the water received an already determined command. | ||
| 13 |
وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍۢ وَدُسُرٍۢ﴿13﴾لا |
حَمَلَ,
|
| And We carried him on (ship) of the planks and inserted (nails). | ||
| 14 |
تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءًۭ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ﴿14﴾ |
عين,
|
| Running before Our eyes; a reward for him (Noah) who was denied (by unbelievers). | ||
| 15 |
وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةًۭ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿15﴾ |
جَرَى,
|
| And We already left this as a sign. Is there anyone who will remember (learn)? | ||
| 16 |
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿16﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| So, how was My punishment and Warning? | ||
| 17 |
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿17﴾ |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| We made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there anyone who will remember (learn)? | ||
| 18 |
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌۭ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿18﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| Aad denied the truth. So, how was My punishment and Warning? | ||
| 19 |
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا صَرْصَرًۭا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍۢ مُّسْتَمِرٍّۢ﴿19﴾لا |
رَسِلَ,
|
| Indeed, We sent a persistent wind on a day of continuous calamity on them. | ||
| 20 |
تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍۢ مُّنقَعِرٍۢ﴿20﴾ |
أَنِسَ,
|
| Removing men like hollowed-out stumps of the (date) pine trees. | ||
| 21 |
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿21﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| So, how was My punishment and Warning? | ||
| 22 |
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿22﴾1ع |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| And indeed, We made the Quran easy for remembrance. Is there anyone who will remember? | ||
| 23 |
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ﴿23﴾ |
كَذَبَ,
|
| Samood denied the warnings. | ||
| 24 |
فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًۭا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًۭا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍ﴿24﴾ |
قَالَ,
|
| They said, “Are we going to follow only a man of our (own group, a man like us)? Indeed, then we would be misguided and mad. | ||
| 25 |
أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌۭ﴿25﴾ |
بَا نَ,
|
| Or has he (the only one) encountered a Reminder among us? But he is a designated liar.” | ||
| 26 |
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًۭا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ﴿26﴾ |
عَلِمَ,
|
| Soon they will know tomorrow who is the designated liar. | ||
| 27 |
إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةًۭ لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ﴿27﴾ز |
فَتَنَ,
|
| Indeed, We will send the she-camel as a temptation (trial) for them, so watch them and be patient. | ||
| 28 |
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍۢ مُّحْتَضَرٌۭ﴿28﴾ |
مَا ءَ,
|
| And inform them that the water is divided between them (camel and men), and every drink will be attended (witnessed). | ||
| 29 |
فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ﴿29﴾ |
صَحِبَ,
|
| Then (but) he called a friend of theirs, and then took the task (dared), and wounded (the camel). | ||
| 30 |
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿30﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| So, how was My Punishment and Warning? | ||
| 31 |
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ﴿31﴾ |
رَسِلَ,
|
| Indeed, We sent on them one blast, and they were (destroyed) like hay in an enclosed (forbidden) fenced. | ||
| 32 |
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿32﴾ |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| And We made the Quran easy to study. Is there anyone who is from learners (students)? | ||
| 33 |
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ﴿33﴾ |
كَذَبَ,
|
| Nation of Lut denied the warnings. | ||
| 34 |
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍۢ﴿34﴾لا |
رَسِلَ,
|
| Indeed, We sent crushed rocks on them, except for the family of Lut; We saved them by (before) the morning. | ||
| 35 |
نِّعْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ﴿35﴾ |
شَكَرَ,
|
| Grace from Us. That is how We reward the thankful (who acknowledges). | ||
| 36 |
وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ﴿36﴾ |
نَذَرَ,
|
| And he (Lut) had already warned them of Our assault (strike), but they doubted the warning. | ||
| 37 |
وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿37﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| And indeed, they tempted (desired) to seek his guests, so, We erased their (destroyed, made lusterless) eyes. “So, taste My Punishment and Warnings.” | ||
| 38 |
وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌۭ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ﴿38﴾ج |
عَذُبَ,
|
| And already, their early morning brought lasting punishment. | ||
| 39 |
فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ﴿39﴾ |
عَذُبَ,
|
| So, taste My punishment and Warning. | ||
| 40 |
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿40﴾2ع |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| And We made the Quran easy to study. Is there anyone who is from learners (students)? | ||
| 41 |
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ﴿41﴾ج |
جَاءَ,
|
| And indeed, the warnings came to the family of Firoun. | ||
| 42 |
كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍ﴿42﴾ |
كَذَبَ,
|
| They denied Our signs, all of them, so, We seized them with strong power. | ||
| 43 |
أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌۭ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ﴿43﴾ج |
خَيرَ,
|
| Are your ungrateful people better than those? Or is there an exemption for you in the Psalms? | ||
| 44 |
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌۭ مُّنتَصِرٌۭ﴿44﴾ |
قَالَ,
|
| Or do they say, “We are all together and will be victorious (triumphant helping each other).”? | ||
| 45 |
سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ﴿45﴾ |
وَلِيَ,
|
| Soon they will be defeated altogether, and they will turn away their backs. | ||
| 46 |
بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ﴿46﴾ |
سَاعته,
|
| But the Time is promised (appointed) for them, and the Time will be disastrous (and most bitter) and ordered (commanded). | ||
| 47 |
إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍۢ﴿47﴾م |
ضَلَّ,
|
| Indeed, the sinners are strayed and in madness. | ||
| 48 |
يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ﴿48﴾ |
مَسَّ,
|
| On Day when they will be dragged in the Fire with their faces: “Taste the touch of Hell.” | ||
| 49 |
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍۢ﴿49﴾ |
شِاءَ,
|
| Indeed, We have created everything with a destiny. (In proportion with amount as much as needed). | ||
| 50 |
وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌۭ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ﴿50﴾ |
أَ مَرَ,
|
| And Our command is (executed in) just one glance (glance of an eye, instantly). | ||
| 51 |
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ﴿51﴾ |
هَلَكَ,
|
| We destroyed your groups. Is there anyone who is remembering? | ||
| 52 |
وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ﴿52﴾ |
فَعَلَ,
|
| Everything they did is in the Record. | ||
| 53 |
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍۢ وَكَبِيرٍۢ مُّسْتَطَرٌ﴿53﴾ |
كَبَرَ,
|
| Every, small or big, is written down. | ||
| 54 |
إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَهَرٍۢ﴿54﴾لا |
جَنَّ,
|
| Indeed, the God-fearing (devoted, pious) will be in gardens and rivers. | ||
| 55 |
فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ﴿55﴾3ع |
صَدَقَ,
|
| In an assembly of truth near the Most Powerful King. |
