|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
إِذَا ٱلشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ﴿1﴾ص لا |
شَمَسَ,
|
| When the sun is made to roll up. | ||
| 2 |
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ﴿2﴾ص لا |
نَجَمَ,
|
| When the stars become dull. | ||
| 3 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ﴿3﴾ص لا |
جَبَلَ,
|
| When the mountains are set in motion. | ||
| 4 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ﴿4﴾ص لا |
عَشَرَ,
|
| When the relationships are suspended. | ||
| 5 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْوُحُوشُ حُشِرَتْ﴿5﴾ص لا |
وَحُشَ,
|
| When the wild animals are brought together. | ||
| 6 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ﴿6﴾ص لا |
بَحَرَ,
|
| When oceans surge with the blowing of the wind (storm). (Storm surge is the abnormal rise in seawater level during a storm, measured as the height of the water above the normal predicted astronomical tide. The surge is caused primarily by a storm’s winds pushing water onshore). | ||
| 7 |
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّفُوسُ زُوِّجَتْ﴿7﴾ص لا |
نَفُسَ,
|
| When the souls are paired (to their bodies). | ||
| 8 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ﴿8﴾ص لا |
سَأَلَ,
|
| When the newborn baby girl is asked. | ||
| 9 |
بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍۢ قُتِلَتْ﴿9﴾ج |
ذَنْب,
|
| For what sin she was killed? | ||
| 10 |
وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ﴿10﴾ص لا |
نَشَرَ,
|
| When the journals are unfolded. | ||
| 11 |
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ﴿11﴾ص لا |
سَمَا,
|
| When the sky is scraped off. | ||
| 12 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ﴿12﴾ص لا |
جَحَمَ,
|
| When the hellfire is flared up. | ||
| 13 |
وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ﴿13﴾ص لا |
جَنَّ,
|
| When the gardens of the paradise are brought close. | ||
| 14 |
عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌۭ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ﴿14﴾ط |
نَفُسَ,
|
| Humankind will know what he has arrived with (presented). | ||
| 15 |
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِٱلْخُنَّسِ﴿15﴾لا |
قَسَمَ,
|
| I swear by the hiding (of celestial bodies like black holes that cannot be seen directly). | ||
| 16 |
ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْكُنَّسِ﴿16﴾لا |
كَنَسَ,
|
| The sweeping in their courses. (black holes sweeping stars and celestial bodies. The black hole could swallow the neutron star in one clean gulp, with little left to see). | ||
| 17 |
وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ﴿17﴾لا |
لَيْل,
|
| And by the night when it becomes dark. | ||
| 18 |
وَٱلصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ﴿18﴾لا |
صَبُحَ,
|
| And by the morning when it starts breathing. | ||
| 19 |
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ﴿19﴾لا |
قَالَ,
|
| This is the word of a noble messenger. | ||
| 20 |
ذِى قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِى ٱلْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍۢ﴿20﴾لا |
قَوِيَ,
|
| Endowed with power by Him who is Seated on the Established Throne. | ||
| 21 |
مُّطَاعٍۢ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍۢ﴿21﴾ط |
أَ مُنَ,
|
| Obedient and then (also) Trustworthy. | ||
| 22 |
وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍۢ﴿22﴾ج |
جَنَّ,
|
| And your companion is not possessed. | ||
| 23 |
وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْمُبِينِ﴿23﴾ج |
بَا نَ,
|
| He saw him at the clear horizon. | ||
| 24 |
وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى ٱلْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍۢ﴿24﴾ج |
غَابَ,
|
| And he does not withhold knowledge of the Unseen. | ||
| 25 |
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ رَّجِيمٍۢ﴿25﴾لا |
قَالَ,
|
| And it is not the word of the cursed shaitan. | ||
| 26 |
فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ﴿26﴾ط |
ذَهَبَ,
|
| Then where are you going? | ||
| 27 |
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿27﴾لا |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| This is only a remembrance for the worlds. | ||
| 28 |
لِمَن شَآءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ﴿28﴾ط |
قَامَ,
|
| For those of you who want to become straight (correct, righteous). | ||
| 29 |
وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللّٰهُ رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ﴿29﴾1ع |
عَلِمَ,
|
| But you cannot desire unless Allah desires The Rabb of The Universe. |
