|
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ |
||
| In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate | ||
| 1 |
۞ عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ﴿1﴾لا |
وَلِيَ,
|
| He frowned and turned away. | ||
| 2 |
أَن جَآءَهُ ٱلْأَعْمَىٰ﴿2﴾ط |
عَمِيَ,
|
| That the blind person came to him. | ||
| 3 |
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ﴿3﴾لا |
دَرَى,
|
| And (but) do you not know? Maybe he will become purified (righteous). | ||
| 4 |
أَوْ يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰٓ﴿4﴾ط |
نَفَعَ,
|
| Or he will remember, and the remembrance will then benefit him. | ||
| 5 |
أَمَّا مَنِ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰ﴿5﴾لا |
غَنِيَ,
|
| As for him, who has no need (able to dispense). | ||
| 6 |
فَأَنتَ لَهُۥ تَصَدَّىٰ﴿6﴾ط |
صَدِيَ,
|
| You gave him your attention. | ||
| 7 |
وَمَا عَلَيْكَ أَلَّا يَزَّكَّىٰ﴿7﴾ط |
زَكَا,
|
| And it is not on you if he does not become righteous. | ||
| 8 |
وَأَمَّا مَن جَآءَكَ يَسْعَىٰ﴿8﴾لا |
سَعَى,
|
| And he who comes to you running. | ||
| 9 |
وَهُوَ يَخْشَىٰ﴿9﴾لا |
خَشَيَ,
|
| While he is fearful. | ||
| 10 |
فَأَنتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّىٰ﴿10﴾ج |
لَهَا,
|
| To him, you become oblivious. (You distract from him). | ||
| 11 |
كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌۭ﴿11﴾ج |
ذَكّرَ,
|
| No. This is a remembrance. | ||
| 12 |
فَمَن شَآءَ ذَكَرَهُۥ﴿12﴾م |
شِاءَ,
|
| Then, whoever desires (this is) for his remembrance. | ||
| 13 |
فِى صُحُفٍۢ مُّكَرَّمَةٍۢ﴿13﴾لا |
صحف,
|
| In magnanimous (honorable) pages. | ||
| 14 |
مَّرْفُوعَةٍۢ مُّطَهَّرَةٍۭ﴿14﴾لا |
رَفَعَ,
|
| Raised high and purified. | ||
| 15 |
بِأَيْدِى سَفَرَةٍۢ﴿15﴾لا |
يَدَيَ,
|
| By the hands of mediators (unveiling, writing scriptures). | ||
| 16 |
كِرَامٍۭ بَرَرَةٍۢ﴿16﴾ط |
كَرُمَ,
|
| Noble and dutiful. | ||
| 17 |
قُتِلَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ مَآ أَكْفَرَهُۥ﴿17﴾ط |
أَنِسَ,
|
| Humankind is destroyed due to what he has covered. | ||
| 18 |
مِنْ أَىِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقَهُۥ﴿18﴾ط |
خَلَقَ,
|
| From what thing He created him? | ||
| 19 |
مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُۥ فَقَدَّرَهُۥ﴿19﴾لا |
خَلَقَ,
|
| He was created from the sperm, and then he was given power. | ||
| 20 |
ثُمَّ ٱلسَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُۥ﴿20﴾لا |
سَبَلَ,
|
| Then the path was made easy for him. | ||
| 21 |
ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُۥ فَأَقْبَرَهُۥ﴿21﴾لا |
مَاتَ,
|
| Then, He caused him to die and put him in a grave. | ||
| 22 |
ثُمَّ إِذَا شَآءَ أَنشَرَهُۥ﴿22﴾ط |
شِاءَ,
|
| Then, when He (Allah) wills, He will raise him. | ||
| 23 |
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَآ أَمَرَهُۥ﴿23﴾ط |
أَ مَرَ,
|
| But no, he did not fulfill (accomplished, carried out) what He Commended to him. | ||
| 24 |
فَلْيَنظُرِ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ إِلَىٰ طَعَامِهِۦٓ﴿24﴾لا |
نَظَرَ,
|
| Let the man see his food. (How We developed and managed resources to provide him the food). | ||
| 25 |
أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا ٱلْمَآءَ صَبًّۭا﴿25﴾لا |
مَا ءَ,
|
| (First) We flow water pouring out in abundance. | ||
| 26 |
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ شَقًّۭا﴿26﴾لا |
أَ رَضْ,
|
| (Second) Then crack the earth to split.(seeds splitting in the soil). | ||
| 27 |
فَأَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّۭا﴿27﴾لا |
نَبَتَ,
|
| (Third) And We grew grain from it. | ||
| 28 |
وَعِنَبًۭا وَقَضْبًۭا﴿28﴾لا |
عنب,
|
| (Fourth) Bunch of grapes and herbs. | ||
| 29 |
وَزَيْتُونًۭا وَنَخْلًۭا﴿29﴾لا |
نَخَلَ,
|
| (Fifth) Olive oils and date palms. | ||
| 30 |
وَحَدَآئِقَ غُلْبًۭا﴿30﴾لا |
حَدَقَ,
|
| (Sixth) And gardens predominantly. | ||
| 31 |
وَفَٰكِهَةًۭ وَأَبًّۭا﴿31﴾لا |
فَكِهَ,
|
| (Seventh) And fruits and vegetables. | ||
| 32 |
مَّتَٰعًۭا لَّكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَٰمِكُمْ﴿32﴾ط |
مَتَعَ,
|
| (Eighth) Necessities (enjoyments) of life for you and your grazing livestock. | ||
| 33 |
فَإِذَا جَآءَتِ ٱلصَّآخَّةُ﴿33﴾ز |
جَاءَ,
|
| But when the Deafening Noise will come to you. | ||
| 34 |
يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ ٱلْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ﴿34﴾لا |
أ خو,
|
| The Day man will run away from his brother. | ||
| 35 |
وَأُمِّهِۦ وَأَبِيهِ﴿35﴾لا |
أَب,
|
| And his mother and his father. | ||
| 36 |
وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَبَنِيهِ﴿36﴾ط |
صَحِبَ,
|
| And his mate and his children. | ||
| 37 |
لِكُلِّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ شَأْنٌۭ يُغْنِيهِ﴿37﴾ط |
يَوْم,
|
| For every man among them, the Day (of Final Judgement) will be a matter that will keep him busy. | ||
| 38 |
وُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ مُّسْفِرَةٌۭ﴿38﴾لا |
يَوْم,
|
| On that Day, their faces will be shining (glowing). | ||
| 39 |
ضَاحِكَةٌۭ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌۭ﴿39﴾ج |
ضَحِكَ,
|
| Laughing, cheerful, and happy at the good news. | ||
| 40 |
وَوُجُوهٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌۭ﴿40﴾لا |
يَوْم,
|
| And faces on that Day will be dusty. | ||
| 41 |
تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ﴿41﴾ط |
رَهِقَ,
|
| Overtaken by poverty (nothing for him). | ||
| 42 |
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَفَرَةُ ٱلْفَجَرَةُ﴿42﴾1ع |
كَفَرَ,
|
| Those who are ungrateful and insolent. |
